September continues to be one of if not the busiest month for Irish music releases. With over 70 singles released this week there’s simply too much out there to cover. However, notable moments include the return of David Holmes who pays tribute to the late great Sinead O’Connor with ‘Necessary Genius’ from his upcoming album Blind On A Galloping Horse.

Delorentos’ Ro Yourell delivers his debut solo single ‘Freedom’, while Dublin post-punks Gurriers undulating third single ‘Nausea’ more than justifies the considerable hype. The Scratch let rip big style on the explicitly crunchy ‘Blaggard’. We discover that Racheal Lavelle’s inner monologue is voiced by the LUAS announcer on ‘Big Dreams’, while Conchúr White previews his debut album with ‘I Did Good Today’.

D.Cullen delivers his ‘Tiny’ EP while Tebi Rex set out their case to be main characters with their ‘Sitcom’ EP. And if that wasn’t enough to be getting on with there’s big pop numbers from the likes of Wild Youth, Alice LA, Ryan Mack and Lea Heart and rock from Cabl, Hotgirl, and Pebbeldash, while Grace Kelly continues to do us proud fronting Leeds outfit Venus Grrrls.

It’s a stacked week for hip hop with Offica, Celaviedmai 7th Obi all delivering memorable moments in their careers to date. In dance, NI Duo Menrva deliver us some sweet ‘Peaches’ while Galway’s Sanie Bega continues to impress with ‘Away From Here’.

There’s also new tunes from big names like Glen Hansard and Sorcha Richardson and new ones like Jack Devlin and Conor Miley. Listen to the above and so much more on the playlist below.
