As the biggest bands in the world descend on Glastonbury Irish acts continue to hold their own with this week’s new releases. It’s brilliant to see Gemma Hayes return after 9-years with the beautiful new single ‘High & Low’. And what a wonderful surprise it was to see Tandem Felix return with musical moves that Wes Hoolahan would be proud of ‘There’s A New Sheriff In Town’.

Glasto bound Hozier returns with ‘Unknown/Nth’ ahead of the release of his third album later this year, while his good friends Sister Fenix introduce us to the ‘Gentle Life’. London-Irish singer Theo hooks up with Sophia Thukar for ‘There’s Always Something’ and Daire Patel and Poser share some ‘Aftersun’.

Irish music superhero Rian Trench reworks Saint Sister’s ‘My Brilliant Friend’, while Knockanstockan legend Midnight Wayne channels his inner-Air on ‘Get What You Got’. Up-and-coming songwriter Smythy delivers the breezy, lo-fi anthem ‘Good Time’, while Northern Ireland’s Reevah returns with Maggie Rogers-esque ‘Time To Breath’.

Strange Brew’s Proper Micro NV returns with their first new music in 3 years ‘Never Go On’ which can only mean we have an album to look forwards to later in the year. Other dance highlights include new tracks from Walk The Dance, Lewwab and Ejeca.

If rock is more you vibe, then look no further than Cork trio The Love Buzz who are appearing at Glastonbury this weekend, or Ballydehob’s First Class and Coach who deliver their new album ‘Neon Hip’.

And if that wasn’t enough for you there’s also new tracks from Rosborough, Auld, James Keegan, RĂ³isin Murphy, Layzee Gold, Isaac Jones, Clodagh, Ultan Conlon and more besides.
