On this week’s round-up of the best new Irish music we say goodbye to Walking On Cars who have announced their spit today after ten years and two albums together – Pa, Paul, Sorcha and Evan have bowed out with a surprise farewell EP Clouds. God Knows has assembled a craic team of East Coast MCs for Who’s Asking? II This week also features new EPs from Conor Clinch and Derry’s Roe.

There’s new music from established acts such as Snow Patrol, The Riptide Movement, James Vincent McMorrow, Paddy Hanna, Somebody’s Child and Wyvern Lingo. The good news story of the week comes in the form of Kojaque who released ‘Schmelly’ in conjunction with giant YouTube platform Colors which has amassed circa 150,000 views since its release on Monday. Speaking of hip hop, it’s great to see new tracks from Alex Gough, RikShaw, Breezy Ideygoke and Offica.

Following the success of her collaboration with Malaki it’s great to see Lucy McWilliams strike out on her own with smooth R’N’B number ‘Runaway’ – there’s big things ahead for Lucy.  Conor Hamilton-Long also impresses with his powerful voice on his debut single ‘See Me Now’ while Jordan Adetunji showcases his indie side with ‘Wokeup!’ while Bitch Falcon return with ‘Test Trip’ the second single from their long-awaited debut album ‘Staring At Clocks’ – you can almost taste the Choice Music Prize nomination in the air.
