The Irish Memory Orchestra celebrates its tenth anniversary with a concert in The Studio at the National Concert Hall on 12 August 2023. The ensemble, bringing together classical, traditional, and jazz musicians, has impressed audiences around the world with its ground-breaking and inclusive approach to music-making, including – like the UK’s Aurora Orchestra – performing from memory.

After a decade which has featured performances in London, Moscow, and South Korea, the IMO returns to Dublin’s National Concert Hall for this special event. The programme features works by Irish composers such as Liz Carroll, Bríd Harper, Máirtín O’Connor and Anne-Marie O’Farrell, alongside the world première of Deich, a 10th anniversary fanfare by IMO Director Dave Flynn, and an arrangement of his Music for the Departed.
