Ahead of the release of sophomore album ‘thank god it’s friday’ on November 7th. Irish indie artist anamoe drive has released another preview single ‘hurry up & wait’ – a track which came together in a most unusual manner.
“The image depicts someone washing a piece of cloth in water, with the light reflecting off the ripples. it felt calm, and at peace with the present moment. the song conversely addresses the feeling of perpetual movement as a means to escape the vulnerability of stillness. The photo presented a feeling I wanted to grasp, the song documents the struggle to grasp it.”
Anamoe drive is the solo moniker of Thumper frontman Oisín Leahy Furlong showcasing a softer more introspective side of the songwriter ‘hurry up & wait’ features on Anamoe Drive’s sophomore album ‘thank god it’s friday’ out 7th Nov. The album will be launched at The Grand Social Ballroom in Dublin on Thurs 13th Nov with support from Holly Munro. Tickets here.
