Irish hip hop act Hare Squaed have signed a record deal with major label Columbia Records UK. The trio from Tallaght have been making waves for some time now thanks to their mix of hip hop, R ‘N’ B and soul vocals and live instrumentation on songs such as Underground Binih, listen below.

The news is a massive boost for Ireland’s hip hop scene which has improved considerably over the last decade. It is only a matter of time before hip hop becomes Ireland’s most popular form of music. Mark our words Hare Squaed will not be the last Irish hip hop act to sign on the dotted line with a major label. Ireland’s underground hip hop scene is ready to burst into the mainstream.

Park whatever preconceptions you have about Irish hip hop at the door because the next generation of Irish hip hop stars are ready to come out of their bedrooms and take over the airwaves and venues up and down the length and breadth of Ireland.
