The sun is out, the weather looks like holding to the weekend and on top of that it’s FREE music events ALL OVER THE PLACE. Yes we emphasise this because it’s quite nice to have a combination of free music and lovely weather and outdoor events.
As with every year the Dublin City Soul Festival takes over Merrion Square for an awesome weekend of music in the park [Details here]. It’s on May 24th – 27th and generally attracts huge numbers throughout each day and will see 10 bands perform each day. Music wise you can catch the likes of The Barley Mob, The Hot Sprockets, Fox E & The Good Hands, Wyvern Lingo, Dem Fools, The Bionic Rats, G Miley & The Sunshine Puppets and loads more.
However there is also the little matter of Instrumental Art which is a new showcase taking place up in Stephen’s Green third floor where the Phil Lynott exhibition was. It’s a visual sensation where art and music meet. Guitars, violins and drums are the artistic canvasses and opens to the public on May 25th and will run for 30 days on the top floor. Monday to Saturday 11am – 7pm (Thursdays till 9pm) and Sundays 11am – 6pm. Admission is FREE.
That’s crazy band art, top floor Stephens Green. FREE entry. Go see it.
