Indiependence festival has announced that it will not take place in 2021 and that if it does return in the future it will not take place at it’s home of 15 years, Deer Farm, Mitchelstown.

Organisers have vowed to refund all ticket-holders before Christmas. The event which was to be headlined by Sigrid, Stereophonics and The Streets was initially postponed thanks to the current health crisis. It is a sad, but appropriate move for the festival at this time.

We have enjoyed visiting Cork for the festival over the course of the last 15 years and wish the organisers the best and hope that they will be able to return in the future as Indiependence was a vital cog in the development of so many Irish acts during its lifespan.
