American pop rocker Tori Amos was in town on Wednesday to play the Grand Canal Theatre (or Bord Gais Theatre if you subscribe to the new sponsors name) and rattled off a hit filled set.

She’s forty eight now and it is twenty three years now since her first release and it scares me to think she was starting here career not long after I was born. However it seems she is still quite popular here in Ireland, we couldn’t have a reviewer because their was no space but our photographer managed to squeeze in near the back and grab a few snaps. Unfortunately the distance means we only have a few snaps for you. Hopefully next time she will let us a bit closer to her.

We hear she had an amazing string quartet accompanying her and left her rendition of ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ out of this set but played a double encore which featured A Multitude Of Shades, Your Ghost, Precious Things, Leather and finishing on Big Wheel.
