Tuesday 17th April saw Evan Dando lead his men in battle at The Academy for a show which would see them play their critically acclaimed fifth album, ‘It’s A Shame About Ray’. From what was an original concept, it seems every second week we have another act in Dublin playing the album that launched them, or was their biggest hit. While initially it was a great idea, it seems now everyone is in on the acts and so many bands are using it as an excuse to rehash old content.
To be fair, The Lemonheads mixed it up a little, starting with some Evan Dando solo acoustic before playing Rockin Stroll through to Frank Mills and a few of their other tracks at the end to finish the show.
