The amazing Anna Calvi was in Dublin at the weekend to play to a packed out Vicar Street on Saturday 19th November.

The gig by all accounts was a phenomenal with Anna under the customary single spotlight exuding a passion and emotion you rarely see these days. Opening with Rider To The Sea and No More Words.

Amongst her world class material she still found room for two covers, one of Surrender by Elvis Presley and secondly Wolf Like Me, a TV on the Radio cover. She closed out the initial show with Love Won’t Be Leaving before returning to the enraptured crowd to play The Devil and Jezebel. With any luck Anna will be back in Dublin real soon in another venue just as intimate as Vicar Street. Unfortunately her increasing popularity with every gig means every time she plays the demand for tickets goes through the roof.
