So 7up Winter Wonderland kicked off a bunch of gigs that would be held in the Spiegel Saloon down on the ground of IMMA. It was an event to launch their brand new album ‘Shoplifting 4 Jesus’ and was an overtly political affair as the band rebels against much of the recent financial meltdown, Facebook and some of the music industry too for good measure.
Indeed we were told not to buy the album or we are fools, and to share the album on our favourite sharing site and pass the music on. Seems a weird message to pass on for an album launch but sure if they want their music to be available for nothing then so be it.
The intrepid Alan Moore was down snapping proceedings in the unique setting of the Spiegel Saloon and having fun with mirrors too. Who says we can’t have fun reporting on all these events.
