HWCH returns to the street’s and venues of Dublin this year but as we were told last night, it very nearly didnt. Funding was an issue and getting this great festival back in 2010 was proving very tough. Step in Bulmer’s Berry, who are looking to promote their link with this ideology of an underground movement, which very much links in with HWCH.

So big thanks to Bulmers Berry, delighted you have helped enable the FMC and HWCH to put back on a fantastic spectacle that is the Hard Working Class Heroes. I was there last year being a Roving reporter, jumping from venue to venue trying to cover the most amount of bands. It’s tough let me tell you.

HWCH comes back on Thursday October 7th, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th October, the reason it starts on Thursday is feedback from everyone that they felt people didnt enjoy Sunday with the thought of school/work the next day.

I’m not sure how that helps the Thursday night’s gigs with no night link and work / school the next day but hopefully it will work for them.

They are looking for Bands to register for a slot HERE by following the instructions and Photographers will apply for a slot HERE . Closing date for Artist and Photographer submissions is 30 July
