10 years of HWCH, 10 years of Goldenplec. It seems good things started in 2002. We can confirm today that HWCH will return for 2012 and have you running around the city like a looney once again come October.
This year it’s being held Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th October around Dublin including the following venues – The Button Factory, The Grand Social, The Mercantile, Meeting House Square, Twisted Pepper and The Workman’s Club. It’s nice to see Meeting House Square added as a new venue this year.
Applications will be through FMC’s own Breaking Tunes site, just log on to www.hwch.net, which will be live from 6pm this evening and click on the “BANDS APPLY HERE” button). Ireland’s photographers can again apply for a chance to be features in the HWCH Photographers exhibition by applying clicking the “PHOTOGRAPHERS APPLY HERE” button. Closing date for applications is July 26th. Application are open from today 26th June at 6pm.
The judging panel for applications will be made up of music industry professionals from around the globe as well as international festival programmers. Photographers will be selected by Le Cool magazine. As always there will be conferences, mentor sessions and band tips sections on hand over the weekend.
Tickets are €45 for the three nights weekend pass. Tickets available from Entertainment.ie. If you are quick Early Bird Weekend Passes are €35. Offer ends 26th July.
