Acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Hilary Woods brings one of the Irish albums of 2018 to The Sugar Club in two weeks time.
‘Colt’ picked up 4-5 star reviews around the globe upon its release thanks to Woods’ innate ability to weave majestic, ephemeral soundscapes.
“Colt was created as a way to process and make sense of the everyday,” explains Woods. “As a means to speak with inner voices, explore aloneness, and understand the complexities of desire. As a vehicle for imaginative flight, as a quest for resilience and connectivity to the outside world, as a medium through which to journey into the present, to temper the mind and inhabit the body.”
‘Colt’ was mixed by and co-produced with James Kelly (WIFE, Altar of Plagues) in Berlin in the winter of 2017. Kelly also worked on Wyvern Lingo’s much lauded 2018 self-titled debut. Not a bad CV.
You can hear ‘Colt’ live at The Sugar Club on September 14th. Tickets €16 on sale now.
