Yes i was watching TV on monday and an ad for Irish Tourism or Come to Ireland or Bord Failte (EDIT : Checked and its Discover Ireland sponsored by Failte Ireland), something along those lines came on, but it brought a little wry smile as i INSTANTLY recognised the song.
I had only heard it at Hard Working Class Heroes 2009 when Heathers graced us with a class performance in Think Tank.
To then hear that song go from there to a tourism ad is a massive step and proof these gals are every bit as good as i thought back them. For my shame i had not heard them prior to HWCH. Back then they said they were suffering from Colds and apologised if it wasnt very good, and then proceeded to blow everyone away with not a hint of a virus affecting their performance. Kudos to young Kev for suggesting a viewing of these talented young ladies.
Hopefully now they can use this exposure to kick on in 2010 and their talent will take them places they deserve.
if you like the song you can actually buy it (and the rest of the album if you want) on www.heathers.ie where its about 80c per song and €7 for the entire album. good value if you ask me, and if were lucky we might see a new album from them later this year.
