Guinness Our Thursdays talent competition has been whittled down to 4 top bands to move forward to the National Showcase, where they will battle it out for a slot to lineup beside Snow Patrol on September 23rd at Arthurs Day.

800 bands lined up with four bands earning the right to perform at the national showcase on September 9th which will be held in Lavery’s in Belfast.

The four bands who were picked by a judging panel which included Snow Patrol, Niall Stokes of Hotpress, Direct of Talent MTV Europe Matt Cook, MCD booker Niall Morris, David Harris of Universal Music, Mark Kavanagh the music editor of The Star and Alan Steele the Arthurs day talent booker were

Dave PeytonMyspace – Singer Songwriter type with debut album Couch Lover release this year in July 2010 on Itunes

Reko – Myspace – 4 piece electronica band from Kilkenny, debut album coming out in September 2010

Empire SaintsMyspace – indie-pop style band who are experimenting with electro and synths for upcoming material
