Not one to hang around and spend too much time on something, Glen Hansard took just twenty odd years to nail down his first solo album. Of course it’s a little mean to suggest it took him twenty years, he was a little busy with other projects too, world domination, The Frames, Swell Season, winning Oscars for his soundtrack to the movie Once. His consistently high quality output, and down to earth personality, is what makes us such big fans of him.
The album will be called ‘Rhythm And Repose’ which will be released on Plateu on June 15th 2012. We has European tour dates announced and of course will be at Electric Picnic this year. Two of the songs were featured on the soundtrack to The Hunger Games too, which is this years blockbuster movie.
