Meltybrains? at the Pepper Canister Church, Friday 20th

It seems like we’re always going on about Meltybrains? here at Goldenplec, but that’s only because they’re one of our very favourite bands. See the eclectic, mask-wearing mavericks this Friday at the Pepper Canister Church, where plenty of new material is being promised.

Very exciting.

Worth Checking Out:

Echo and the Bunnymen at The Olympia Theatre, Wednesday 18th

As one of the finest bands to emerge from the post-punk era, Echo and the Bunnymen have been on the go for almost 40 years. Their music has naturally aged during that time, but has done so gracefully, so this show should prove to be an enjoyable delve into the past.

Jape at the Academy, Thursday 19th

Richie Egan’s newest album ‘This Chemical Sea’ is still freshly swirling round our ears, and the band are offering a chance to see what the new material sounds like live this Thursday at the Academy.

Death From Above 1979 at the Academy, Friday 20th

The band who pulled off the bass and drum duo some ten years before Royal Blood come along to perform for the first time in Dublin this Friday. Expect a heavy-hitting show.

Pond at Whelan’s, Thursday 19th

If Australian psych-rock sounds like your type of thing, you may consider examining Pond who make an appearance at Whelan’s on Thursday. The new album is a cracker too.
