This weeks gig of the week goes to the a worthy cause. The Inspirations in aid of Barrettstown is now a yearly thing which provides an amazing nights music helping raise funds for cancer research.
So far confirmed for the night are Glen Hansard, The Stunning, Delerentos, O Emperor , Dirty Epics and Ryan Sheridan which I think we can all agree is some lineup and from what were hearing Declan O’Rourke and Mik Pyro from Republic of Loose will perform with the RTE Concert Orchestra.
Acts on the night will perform songs by a range of artists including David Bowie, Bob Dylan , The Rolling Stones and U2. As well as the music the night will also feature a short retrospective of Paul Newman’s movie work. Ray D’Arcy will be the host for the night. Tickets are €30 available from Ticketmaster.

Wednesday has The Frames play Vicar Street while Thursday has A Plastic Rose in The Limelight, Roisin O in Whelans, Royseven in The Academy 2.
Friday has Dum Dum Girls in Whelans, Fight Like Apes in Stiff Little Kitten, Paul Brady at Vicar Street and Friday has Christy Moore with Declan Sinnot in the INEC, Ivan St. John in the Workmans Club and Paddy Casey in Cyprus Avenue.
Westlife play The O2 on Saturday and Sunday and Japanese Popstars play The Academy 2 on Sunday and Noah and the Whale are in Whelans Sunday too.
