There is plenty of top gigs on this week. I’d like to say I was at pains trying to decide what our Gig Of The Week would be, however it was one simple choice. 26 Bloggers coming together to judge in the Digital Socket Awards to cast a light on the top music in Ireland at the minute giving a most very unique type of awards that expands on the excellent premise of the choice music prize which tips the hat to the best album in Ireland. The Digital Socket Awards expands on this and recognises all the genres and song and album and ep of the year alongside best radio show and best photographer.
On the night Meljoann and Groom and a delicious special guest are playing on the night. DJ sets will come from Logikparty and 2XM’s Sweet Oblivion. Tickets are €12 including the booking fee and the profits on the night go to AWARE. Tickets are available on 
In other gig news, Tuesday see’s Imelda May in Vicar Street, Wednesday treats us to Fighting with Wire at The Stiff Kitten, Stephanie Rainey in Cyprus Avenue. Thursday will see Bitches with Wolves in Whelans, The Kerrang Tour in The Academy and Junip featuring Jose Gonzales in Auntie Annies.
Friday will see David Kitt in the Roisin Dubh, Feeder in The Academy and Junip featuring Jose Gonzalez in Cyprus Avenue. Saturday Whelans plays host to Ryan Sheridan, These Charming Men are up in Spring and Airbrake.
Sunday has Usher plays The Odyssey Arena and Monday has Hurts in The Academy
