Gig of the Week : IMRO Showcase Tour

This week were going Irish with our choice for two reasons.

1) The Quality of the lineup of this showcase is pretty awesome.
2) Every other international gig will probably go tits up

So with that in mind we would like to reccomend to you that you go see the IMRO Showcase tour this Friday April 23rd in The Sugar Club, Dublin.

On the night there will be four top acts and these acts are no slouches. House of Dolls, Pilotlight, Jody has a Hit List and The Rags are four of Irelands up and coming acts worth seeing. Only recently Jody has a Hitlist had an almost sellout gig in The Academy (check our review and the awesome pictures) and Pilotlight are friend of Goldenplec and have been churning out top music for years.

If for some mad reason, that isnt up your alley, remember that so far LCD Soundsystem, Powderfinger and The Whale Watching tour have cancelled due to the Volcanic ashcloud, and we reckon more will follow.

Whitney hits The O2 again on Tuesday, Mixed reviews so far from the weekend, we’ll see how she gets on,

Thursday see’s Blood Red Shoes play The Academy 2, While Dropkick Murphys drop into the Olympia Theatre that night too, and Colm Lynch plays The Village and Earth Party ( Lisa Hannigan and Friends) is in Whelans.

Friday Brandi Carlyle is in The Academy, and Karma to Burn are downstairs in The Academy 2 and The Chapters and The Minutes will play The Button Factory.

Saturdya see’s Glamour of the Kill, Physcho Fest 2010 and Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip play Whelans
