This week Ive decided to go Irish again as there are actually a lot of great gigs this weeks, but the return of Ham Sandwich is great news for the Irish music lovers out there. They have come back with a whopper new single The Naturist and will play in Whelans this coming Saturday. €16 for tickets to that.
Other gigs this week see Legendary Rod Stewart pack out The O2 back to back nights Tuesday and Wednesday. Dinosaur Jr are in Vicar Street on the Tuesday.
Thursday see’s The Minutes in The Academy 2 and Mark Geary will be in Whelans whilst Friday see’s Cathy Davey in The Olympia and do a Tower Records appearance too at 1.30pm, The New Breed album launch will be later that evening in Tower Records
Saturday alongside Ham Sandwich you could also choose the 98th Ballroom of Romance in The Lower Deck or maybe go see a live re-enactment of The Last Waltz that classic documentary about The Band. 65 days of Static will also be in Crawdaddy tearing it up.
Sunday see’s Legend Peter Green in the Olympia Theatre and Kele Okereke in The Academy and Monday has Sandi Thom in Whelans.
