This week we decided to go with Evelyn Evelyn as our gig of the week. Having seen Amanda Palmer live previously i know she does a quality live show, and im intrigued as to the nature of this show as the concept behind evelyn evelyn is to do with conjoint twins who are immensely talents, share a liver and have 3 legs. Its about bringing a bit of Theatre to rock because as Amanda so aptly puts it, Rock IS theatre.
So Amanda and Jasons Fictional twin pop stars will be coming to Dublin Monday 19th April and i really think it will be a show worth seeing. It will be wierd, different, out there and guarunteed to be one of those live shows your glad you saw in person and didnt hear about second hand.
Also happening this week is The Trinity Ball which has a stellar lineup, and would have been gig of the week only for its Sold Out and doesnt need any more promotion, we have Rain Machine in The Academy, The Competition for which is now closed. So hope you got your entries in. MGMT hit the Olmypia on Friday, Hells Bells (quality AC/DC tribute band) are in The Academy. Scarecrow Disco are launching a single in The Village that day too (busy night). Diva Whitney Houston will be hitting The O2 on Saturday and Sunday and crazy grimes brothers Jedward are in Vicar Street Sunday and Monday.
