If your into your Bluegrass, Rockabilly type music then this week could be a very good week to head to Galway. Running from September 15th to 19th, The Galway Americana festival will feature acts showing off the common factors between Irish traditional music and American roots music through music and dance and talks/discussion forums.

The festival started in 2007 and this year it has a theme of ‘Go Wild in the West‘, aiming to reproduce the pioneering spirit that send many Irish and Scottish to the heart of America.
