Launching this September is a new music promotions company Fresh & Noble who will be launching with a unique series of music documentary screenings in Dublin and Cork.

The series is aimed at highlighting the new breed of documentaries with a focus on the ones rarely screened, each screening will be followed by DJs or live bands.

The series kicks off with Still Bill – the critically acclaimed intimate portrait of soul legend Bill Withers in his 70th year, which features rare access to a private man responsible for classics such as “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Lean On Me,” “Lovely Day,” “Grandma’s Hands,” and “Just the Two of Us.”.

They have teamed up with Choice Cuts for the event to treat guest to a unique experience of soul, The event will take place on September 30th at The Sugar Club in Dublin. Doors at 8pm, Screening at 8:45pm, Entry is €7.50 with music acts to be announced.

  • Nina Simone: La Légende – Special screening of this intimate portrayal of this icon for the Cork Jazz Festival (October 25th, 3pm in The Pavilion in Cork. Free entry).
  • Favela On Blast –  the directorial film debut from Grammy-nominated DJ and producer, Diplo, documents the vibrant and innovative musical subculture that has emerged in Brazil’s impoverished slums, known as favelas
  • Dub Echoes – A documentary that traces the origins of Jamaican dub music and it’s influence on the development of hip hop and electronic music.
