Ahead of the release of her debut album ‘Lighthouse’ hotly tipped artist Francis of Delirium has announced their debut Irish headline show in The Workman’s Club Cellar next May. The Luxembourg based artist real name Jana Bahrich has release 3 critically acclaimed EPs, ‘All Change’, ‘Wading’ and ‘The Funhouse’ becoming a favourite of KEXP and NPR along the way.

Francis of Delirium is set to gain further recognition with the release of ‘Lighthouse’ which was produced by Catherine Marks [boygenius, The Killers, Wolf Alice]), as the sound shifts from angst filled alt-rock, to embrace a more vulnerable and open sonic palette, weaving in elements of pop alongside rock to create Gen-Z anthems. ‘Lighthouse’ sees Jana Bahrich expanding the instrumentation by incorporating more pianos and acoustic guitars to create an intimate and disarming sound.

“For this album, hope is the prevailing feeling I’m left with after making it and listening to it. The idea is that there is this light guiding you out into a space where you can be more open and accepting of love and joy. Even as you gain or lose love, it never really goes away; it just transforms itself, moving into other relationships with you,” offers Jana Bahrich.

Alongside news of the release of ‘Lighthouse’, Francis of Delirium has shared a new track ‘Blue Tuesday’ a fizzing mix power-pop energy and shoegaze vibes.

“‘Blue Tuesday’ was a chance to go back a little bit to our original sound, heavy guitars, uptempo, in your face music. We are a band that really loves to play live, sweaty, messy and physical music, so it felt important to have this song be part of the album.”
