BIMM Dublin’s most successful graduates Fontaines D.C. have partnered with the college to create a scholarship which will see the Grammy Nominated rockers fund the entirety of  of the4-year BA (Hons) Commercial Modern Music 2022 for one lucky student. Not only will the group hand-pick the recipient they have also pledged to be hands on through the duration of the course.

“We’re honoured to have a scholarship in our name. Our time in BIMM gave us time to figure out who we wanted to be as a band. We were given guidance on how to achieve our dreams. We’re looking forward to being able to help someone else succeed at their time there with this scholarship.” says Conor Deegan.

News of the Scholarhip comes in advance of the release of Fontaines D.C.’ third album ‘Skinty Fia’ on April 22nd. The group play two sold-out hows in the Iveagh Gardens this July and appear at Electric Picnic this September before undertaking an Irish winter tour including three date in Dublin’s Vicar Street.  Tickets here

Applicants interested in applying for this scholarship must first apply to the BA (Hons) in Commercial Modern Music via the CAO at www.cao.ie, using the course code TU 961. CAO Late Applications are open for those who haven’t yet made a CAO application for this year until 1st May 2022. The deadline for scholarship applications will be 1st July 2022.
