FLÅTPÄCK The IKEA Opera to be part of Fringe Fest

Probably one of the stranger and intriguing emails to drop into our inbox recently is definitely the announcement of an opera show called FLÅTPÄCK.

It’s an opera based on Ikea which will take you on a journey attempting to blend the beauty of opera with the popularity of the Swedish furniture superstore. It’s tagline is ‘An opera in five rooms about living with furniture’. It’s written by Tom Lane and directed by Conor Hanratty. It will be taking place in The CHQ Building on Georges Quay between September 7th and September 16th as part of Absolut Fringe.
