Clones will be one less festival as five year of Flat Lake has fallen short 3 weeks before the event. The June bank holiday weekend and summer festival season will be one festival bare this season as Flatlake fell fowl of what we can only assume was lack of ticket sales leading up to the event.
Clones won’t be without a festival however with the emergence of Fortstock, so we’ll keep a keen eye on that one this year to see if it has staying power. The Flatlake Festival website has published the following with a full statement to come shortly.
“We’re sad to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, this years festival will not be taking place. In the meantime, we’d like to thank those of you who’ve already bought tickets. You will be fully refunded and all on-line purchasers will be contacted accordingly asap.”
