Every week our photographers can be found running around the pits of Ireland’s venues. You might have seen some of the photos during the week but we thought we would take some of the best pictures we took this week and put them in a handy summary for you.
This is the quality live music you missed or caught this week.
Queens of the Stone Age at the O2
Red light (cameras hate red light) and forced perspective (the technical term for being told to “stand here and don’t move”) made Queens of the Stone Age one of the more difficult gigs we covered this week, but still managed to walk away with the likes of this.
The Pixies at The Olympia Theater
It’s the Pixies, in one of the most stunning venues not only in Ireland, but Europe. This captures everything about the opening night of the Dublin run of gigs perfectly.
The Orb at The Button Factory
Capturing live visuals is difficult to say the least, this is one of those photos that just does it perfectly.
Múm at The Button Factory
There is just something really atmospheric about this….
Coheed and Cambria at The Academy
Hair swishing rawk, perfectly captured!
The Lumineers at The O2
The Lumineers bouncing round The O2’s stage.
Kodaline at The Olympia
Kodaline kicking off a 3 night run of the Olympia.
Austra at The Button Factory
Anyone else kicking themselves they missed this one? Austra got nothing but good reviews for their Button Factory headline show, backed up by amazing photos like this…
White Denim at Whelan’s
Texan experimental rock insanity in Whelan’s….
Ms Mr at The Academy
Ms Mr’s at least looked like they enjoyed their first Irish headline show….
