Dublin Fire Brigade were called to Dublin music venue Vicar Street today following fire on the roof which was visible throughout much of the city centre. The blaze at the venue located on Thomas Street was brought under control and thankfully no injuries have been reported.
It is as yet unclear how serious the damage to the building which is owned and operated by Aiken Promotions is and whether repairs will lead to more shows being postponed. However, this is a most unwelcome news for the Dublin music scene which has been ravaged by the pandemic.
