Acclaimed singer-songwriter Fionn Regan has sorted Valentines Day for 400 people next year with news that he play Whelan’s on the Hallmark holiday.

It’s been a busy couple of years for the Bray artist. Following five years of silence he returned in 2017 with the Choice Music Prize nominated album ‘Meeting of The Waters’ with his sixth album ‘Cala’ following in 2019.

“The album does have fundamentally elemental, visual components,” says Regan. “I wouldn’t mind knowing why! It’s a mystery to me, how songs evolve. Thankfully, they do. But I’ve never got anywhere when I’ve tried to work it out.” Yet, as Regan concedes, “the place you’re from continues to resonate.”

Whatever the reasoning, it’s been a fruitful period for Regan and long may it continue.
