For this week’s Gig of the Week, we’re sending you back to The Workman’s Club for a date with another superb Irish band. If you’re at a loose on Friday night, definitely catch Derry rockers Fighting With Wire take over one of our favourite Dublin venues. Tickets are only a tenner and still available. If that isn’t enough to tempt you, support on the night comes from CPNHGN and Former Monarchs. The lads will also be playing The Limelight in Belfast on Wednesday, tickets only €6.
It’s a busy start to the week on Monday with Everything Everything playing to a sold out Whelans. Justin Bieber will be thrilling his army of fans for his second sold out show at The O2. Rea Garvey, an Irish sing songwriter who happens to be huge in Germany will be over in Academy 2, tickets are €14.50 and still available. Train will be down in Vicar Street, tickets still available and are €29.
Fairground Attraction front woman Eddi Reader is taking on a whirlwind tour of Ireland, she’s down in The Set Theatre in Kilkenny on Monday, The Pavilion in Cork on Tuesday and Wednesday see’s her play Whelans. Tickets for all gigs are sold out.
Icelandic indie pop rockers, Of Monsters & Men have sold out The Olympia on Thursday night. If their Electric Picnic performance is anything to go by and in such an illustrious setting, it’s definitely set to be a memorable one. Elsewhere on Thursday, Example is taking on the mighty O2, tickets are €35 and still available. Canadian singer songwriter Ron Sexsmith is in Th Academy. Tickets for that on are €25 and still available.
Fidlar are in The Academy 2 on Friday night, tickets are €14 and still available. If electro is your thing get down to to The Olympia Theatre on Friday night for Steve Aoki, tickets are €33.50 and still available.
