Festival Details

Yurt City returns for its second year on Friday 14th & Saturday 15th August. With the success of last year’s debut outing, the festival now extends to a two-day camping festival! Once again, setting up home in the picturesque grounds of the 18th-century People’s Castle, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

Curated by DJ duo Boots & Kats, this boutique intimate gathering offers like-minded music fans the experience to witness a line-up that’s bursting with the hottest international and Irish DJs, artists, performers and producers.

 Yurt City is tucked away within ancient oak woods, set around a medieval courtyard. Festival-goers can stay in beautiful traditional Mongolian Yurts, unwind in the dedicated chill-out spots, see some spectacular art installations, kick back at the Comedy Stage throughout the day or take part in a selection of wellness activities. The Food Village will serve up tasty menus along with thirst-quenching beverages. With all of this on offer, Yurt City 2020 has all the makings of one hell of a party!

This year’s belter of a line-up, features our festival curators, the charismatic duo BOOTS & KATS – known for their ace music selection of disco and funk. Hailing from New Zealand, brothers Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales are CHAOS IN THE CBD. They play sophisticated club music with a real party edge, with influences from RnB, pop and beyond. Berlin’s CINTHIE has become one of the most revered and respected figures in contemporary electronic music both in her hometown and across the globe.

Munich duo COEO have become synonymous with summer-tinged nostalgia tracks. The boys have delivered some of the most dancefloor-friendly house tracks of recent years. Armand Jakobsson aka DJ SEINFELD, the Swedish DJ/producer shows deft control at building tracks to rapturous audiences. Glaswegian DJ and curator LA LA is the alter-ego of Lauren Andrew. With a six year residency at FLY Club in Edinburgh, 2020 is set to be a breakout year for the hotly tipped DJ!

Galway native SHAMPAIN is one of Ireland’s youngest and most exciting DJs, slowly carving a respected name for himself. Shampain’s adoration of everything between breaks, techno, jungle and grime has seen him rise through the ranks. 2019 witnessed an amazing year for YASMIN GARDEZI, playing gigs across the country including major Irish electronic festivals. REBOOT DJs are responsible for showcasing epic dance events all over Ireland. We can’t wait to welcome them to Yurt City 2020.

*** CAMPING ***

There will be two campsites; General Camping & Boutique Camping. Boutique camping features both 4 and 5 metre pre-pitched Bell Tents and Emperor Tents. These make great, comfortable and fun places to stay in for the festival, accommodating 4-6 people. You are welcome to stay on in the campsite until noon on Sunday.
