Cork singer/songwriter Mick Flannery sits down with Barry Egan for the latest installment of Independent.ie Windmill Lane sessions.

During the sessions, they chat about a happy childhood of Dylan, Waits and family gatherings, of a story burned into his mind by his grandfather, and connecting the dots of the creative process.

He also performs a soulful take on one of John Prine’s most affecting songs, Hello In There, as well as his own track The Small Fire.
