One of Ireland's best-loved recording artists, Jerry Fish, sits down with Barry Egan for the latest installment of Independent.ie Windmill Lane sessions to chat about positivity, pirates and the differences between Jerry Fish 'the performer' and Gerard Whelan 'the man'.

He also performs a fitting cover of Daniel Johsnston's The Story of an Artist, as well as his own track Superman - an emotional piano ballad where he sings of self-doubt in a sheer, unhurried momentum that highlights the power of his gravelly voice.
