HamsandwicH are back with new single Reactions. Following on from 2017’s critically acclaimed single Bodies, Reactions see the Kells five-piece continue down their electronic path.
The second taste of HamsandwicH's forthcoming fourth album and sees the group playing with Goldfrapp-esque melodies. "We are excited to be writing in new territory," Explains lead guitarist D'Arcy, who is looking forward to playing the band's new material live. "We can’t wait for this December tour. We’re excited to hear what people think."
Frontman Podge McNamee meanwhile explains how the group had "more fun than usual" piecing Reactions together and notes an unexpected inspiration behind the track.
"The song has very different rhythms which we battled and hopefully managed to blend together. One big influence from the off was Prince, as it was written around the time he passed away. Hopefully it’s a track the man himself would dig."
Reactions was produced by Irish music legend Karl Odlum and mixed and mastered by Danny Kalb (Beck, Karen O, Rilo Kiley).
