In 4 words, how would you describe your music?

"Shamelessly feel-good. Harmonies galore" (We'll give them that - Ed)

You recently released your new album. Do you have a favourite track, and if so, why that one?

"Depends which one of us you ask, but Robbie's (cajón/banjo) is Bon Scott, He Rocked because it was a point of departure for us in terms of our "onemic" show and he's also a bit of a bluegrass need. Garrett's is Whatever Happens and has a lot to do with the fun animated video for the song, worth checking out. Dave & Howard say Love Me Like You Used To and The Lights Went Out in Cotos, Cotos because he gets to rock out on the drums in the live version where we play it off stage with the public."

Have you been to Vantastival before? If so, what was your favourite memory?

"We've never been, so obviously looking forward to it big time, particularly catching bands we've met along the way like The Hot Sprockets and The Young Folk. We wanna try some of the craft beer too, and get stuck into the best the food trucks have to offer!"

What would you call your campervan, and why?

"If we had one, we'd call it the The Dog Sled since we've always pulled ourselves along!"

Other than on stage, where are we most likely to find you at a festival?

"Wherever the free food is is a good start, or wherever other musicians are having a jam. This is the best way to connect with other groups and the public alike."

What can we expect from a live show?

"Well, not the Spanish Inquisition anyway! We like to have fun and do as varied a set as possible, but mainly leave folks with a smile on their face. Most likely something to make you wanna dance since it's a festival. Festival = fiesta!"

Describe your best festival dance move.

"We can't do it justice in words so we've supplied a video but the moves could vary according to amount of local beer consumed."

You’re making a party playlist. What song is first on the list?

"Probably Groove Is In The Heart from Deelite which also had some pretty good dance moves which Garrett has been known to employ, fortunately no video currently available!"

What plans are afoot for the band in 2016?

"We've got the remainder of our tour around Spain and our third trip to the UK in July to promote the album. We'll be back in Ireland sometime in September/October and new songs in the pipeline. It's our busiest year to day and more things are opening up every day."

Track Dogs play The GoldenPlec Stage on Saturday at Vantastival this year.
