Chaotic south London rabble Fat Dog are returning to Dublin for a headline show at Opium this March. Known for their uproarious live shows the group’s fanbase soon became known as the kennel. “A lot of music at the moment is very cerebral and people won’t dance to it,” explains keyboardist Chris Hughes. “Our music is the polar opposite of thinking music.”

“I wanted to make something ridiculous because I was so bored,” adds singer Joe Love, explaining the bands reason for being which is exemplified by the Brixton five-piece’s debut album ‘Woof’ “Music is so vanilla,” says Love, noting. “I don’t like sanitised music. Even this album is sanitised compared to what’s in my head. I thought it would sound more fucked up.”

Fat Dog at Dublin’s Opium, March 2nd 2025. Tickets €22.00 are available from singularartists.ie on Friday 8th November at 10am.
