Five of our six Eurovision winning acts will be going out on tour believe it or not, as Eurovision fever starts to build in the run up to the big event. Of course this year our hopes ride once again upon Jedward as they aim to extend our record seven victories and make RTE broke in the process.
The five acts heading out on the tour are Dana Rosemary Scallon, Johnny Logan, Linda Martin, Niamh Kavanagh and Paul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan. The tour will be a twelve date showcase across the country culminating in a finale in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.
The only missing act is Eimear Quinn who only pulled out because she is pregnant but may take part in future dates. We don’t have any dates for the tour yet, we are waiting to hear back from the promoter but it certainly sounds like an interesting nights entertainment.
