Last night John and Edward Grimes, collectively Jedward stepped out and defied many of their critics and nay sayers to not only deliver a storming energetic performance but also secure the all important qualifications to Saturday nights showpiece.

Jedward are the human incarnation of the term “storm in a teacup” as everywhere they go seems to carry a wave of drama and interest above any peak expected. The two lads have been far and away the busiest act over in Dusseldorf. They have been caught up in a wave of interviews and press events and their boundless energy and enthusiasm is ensuring that the interest in them is far from waning.

Their odds were huge starting out and now Paddy Power are saying it could be their biggest loss since 2008 on one event if Jedward go on to secure Irelands eight Eurovision crown. Jedward even made a spectacle of drawing their placing in the final getting plenty of laughts before announcing they will be playing in the 6th slot.

This could work against us with Sweden in at #7 and being the song closest in similarity to ours but hopefully the Grimes brothers will produce a showpiece which will dwarf Swedens performance rather than enhance it.

The full running order for the Final is now complete and reads as follows :-

  1. Finland
