Thirteen years is a long time to be together, Estel’s dark instrumental style is credited with laying the groundwork for a crop of underground music in Ireland over their thirteen years.
Luminaries such as Mike watt, Steve Mackay and Adrian Crowley have led to Estel continued success over the years with tours of the UK and Italy. Estel members have gone on to play in bands like Betamax Format, Psychic Kids, Last Days Of 1984, Cap Pas Cap, The Boys Of Summer, Drainland and Sexbat. They will play a special anniversary gig on February 4th at The Grand Social 2012.
Tickets are €7 and will help promote the bands latest album ‘A Massive, Glorious, Uphill, Shit – Fight’ which will be released on the bands own Little Plastic Tapes label.
Also playing on the night are the fabulous Gretta Gunn, Murmur and an extra special performance from ESTEL founder Ashley Companje.
