After the resounding success of our third #GoldenBeck gig last month (see photos here), we are back to bring you the third in our series of ‘GoldenPlec & Claire Beck Presents…’ gig nights in the The Workmans Club, Dublin.

This time it’s a little different. This month, we have teamed up with the rather attractive-looking Knockanstockan to bring you this #GoldenBeck / Knockanstockan Preview special. We will be hosting the Fairy Field stage at this year’s Knockanstockan so keep an eye out for news on that.

We sat down along with the KS heads and picked out some of the most exciting bands to play this year’s festival. With that, we have the very special, boisterous, raccous and bearded men of The Eskies pulling into the Workmans club. We have the prince of Irish-folk and long time GP buddy Conor Linnie. And finally, a really enchanting and exciting live act in the form of Corroboree – not to be missed.

We’ve long been promoting Irish music and every great thing about it. So it’s about time we got together some of the amazing Irish talent and put on some seriously fucking good music nights. We have some amazing nights lined up over the next few months so stay tuned and enjoy ‘GoldenPlec & Claire Beck Presents’.

Remember: Plec yourself before you Beck yourself. #GoldenBeck

The Eskies

These five fine gentlemen renegades from Dublin describe their music as a ‘unique brand of folk noir/gypsy jazz/sea shanty and swaggering stage spectacle’. We couldn’t have put it better. There will be beards. There will be dancing. Prepare to be entertained! Check out the lads rocking the Knockanstockan main stage last year – it can’t come soon enough!

Conor Linnie

We’re delighted to welcome Bray folk troubador Conor Linnie to the GoldenBeck stage. Just back from a string of dates in London promoting his debut album Astray, we’re looking forward to some finger pickin’ goodness to get us in the mood for Knockanstockan. We’re filmed Conor and Brona Keogh down at the Blessington lakes last year –  take a look.

Corroboree

A band fronted by Danny Maher of The Bull Munro, Tradstone and The Jds. If we had to pick a sound a like, think the lovechild of Damo Dempsey and Trent Reznor. If you like interesting lyrics and captivating melodies, make sure you don’t miss them.

Check out his Breaking Tunes here.
