Following the release of her cheeky new single “Thief” last week, rising Irish rockstar Emma Noodles doubles down on her playful defiance with a self-written,directed, and edited cinematic music video, premiering.
Dressed in a full classic cartoon-style thief costume, Emma gleefully steals oversized props — from giant bananas and peanuts to massive toothbrushes, scissors, and even underwear — in a playful loop of chaos. The video opens with a mugshot scene before Emma escapes custody, breaks into a house, raids the fridge, dances on counters, and sets off on a whimsical outdoor heist. The result is part slapstick, part surrealism, and entirely unforgettable.
“I wanted the Thief video to capture the same playful, cheeky energy as the song itself,” Emma says. “From the start, I knew the rollout had to feature me in the classic cartoonish thief costume — it’s bold, a little on-the-nose, but it fit the world of the song perfectly.”
The video leans into her signature blend of fun and theatricality while carrying a deeper meaning. “Every track I write comes with a video already living in my head, but Thief felt different,” she explains. “This song is powerful and deeply personal to me.”
Emma Noodles will appear as part of Ireland Music Week with a performance in The Grand Social Ballroom at 9 PM on October 2nd.
