Elviso Costello brings back the ‘Spinning Songbook’ to Dublin

Elvis Costello is back on the road and he is bringing back something that put him on the map all those years ago. The Spinning Songbook.

Elvis Costello & The Imposters will play The O2, Dublin on May 9th 2012, Tickets for the show are €49.65 to €64.95 depending on seating and the tickets will cost on sale Friday 25th November at 9am. Tickets available from Ticketmaster.ie and outlets nationwide.

For those who don’t know of it, The Wheel was something which contained songs from Elvis’s back catalogue and with a light beside each one denoting that it hadn’t yet been played the wheel would be spun to choose the next song to be played. That wheel was long ago donated to a museum but a new one has been rebuilt and now members of the audience will be invited up to spin the giant contraption.

It’s literally the definition of anything can happen.
