With Oxegen out of the way it’s time to focus on the other festival giant on the Irish musical landscape. Electric Picnic already boasts quite a strong lineup. Arcade Fire, Pulp, Chemical Brothers, Cast of Cheers, Adebisi Shank, The Go! Team, PJ Harvey and more.
We get to expand that lineup today again with the announcement of around 15 more acts including the likes of Underworld, Bob Geldof on the spoken word stage, I am Kloot, M.Ward, Foster The People, Republic of Loose, The Black Angels, Everything Everything, Niki and The Dove, The RubberBandits, The Pains Of Being Pure at Heart, Donal Dineens Parish, Sharon Corr and Ghost Estates.
Woosh, what a great load of additions, The festival takes place on September 2nd,3rd and 4th and takes place in Stradbally Hall, Co. Laois. Tickets cost €240 for a weekend pass, Sunday tickets are €99.50 with no camping allowed and campervan passes are €60 and you must have a valid full ticket too. Tickets available from Ticketmaster.ie
