With Oxegen now over our mind now switches to the more boutique festivals. The festivals catering for specific tastes like Indiependence, Castlepalooza and of course Electric Picnic.

The Comedy tent is one of my favourite additions at a festival and i always get a few hours of laughs in over the weekend, it truly does turn around any kind of day your having.

Hitting the comedy tent over the 3rd to the 5th of September will include Mario Rosenstock and his Gift Grub show will be there both Saturday and Sunday, American superstar Reginald D Hunter jets in for an exclusive performance on the Sunday. Jim Eoin, Ardal O’Hanlon will be in attendance and Stephen Frost Improv Allstars will be joined on stage by special guest and ‘Buzzcocks’ team captain Phil Jupitus for two different shows on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Ed Byrne returns after another successful Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Blizzard of Odd star Colin Murphy and Canadian Comic Glenn Wool will be providing further laughs too. Dead Cat Bounce, The Rubberbandits and more homegrown talent in the form of Joe Rooney, Karl Spain, Eleanor Tiernan, Dermot Whelan, Brendan Burke and newcomers like Danny Dowling and Gerry McBride, all held together by your MCs for the weekend, the escaped duracell bunnies that are Andrew Stanley and Damian Clarke it is sure to be an absolutel riot.

Weekend Tickets are €240 / Family Camping Ticket EU240 per adult. Each adult can bring up to 2 kids under 12. There are no single day tickets.

Campervan Tickets for access to Regular & Family Campervan Parks are €60, available also from the same outlets.
