In news that will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone, Electric Picnic 2026 sold out within minutes of tickets going on sale at 9AM this morning.

This year’s event was headlined by Sam Fender, Fatboy Slim, Hozier, and Kings of Leon, alongside Chappell Roan who delivered an epic performance which will go down in history as the best headline slot of all time in Stradbally.

Kneecap, meanwhile put themselves in the frame for a future headline slot when they drew a crowd of over 50,000 people to the main stage on Saturday afternoon – click on the image below to see our photos from the show

Festival Director Melvin Benn spoke to press on Sunday and revealed he has two nights of next year’s headliners already booked.

“We don’t stand still at the Picnic, there will always be changes. There’s a few little bits that I want to change and with headliners, we have two of the three nights booked and we are in a really strong place with that. We’re very happy with those two of the three nights, the third night we are not under pressure on, so we are waiting a bit. I’m not going to tell you who they are obviously!”

He continued: “People come for the whole thing though, not just  for the headliners – they come for the expanded Freetown and the amazing Salty Dog, the improved and better Fishtown, and the Art Lot and all the other intricacies that make up this amazing festival.”

80,000 Picnickers will return to Stradbally Estate from Friday 28th – Sunday 30th August 2026.
