Back again, the integral part of the Electric Picnic experience is the Body & Soul area. The 10th year for the creative beacon tucked away in the forests at Stradbally, today they announce their lineup to the event.
Heading down to play Body & Souls are Skip & Die, Phantom, HK119, Matthew E White, Tourist, Frida Sundemo, Josef Salvat, Samaris, Fullulah, Mairtin O’Connor Band, Ryan Vail, Mark Mulcahy, Le Galaxie, Wife, Slow Skies, Come On Live Long, Overhead The Albatross, Ajo Arkestra, John Smith, Daithí, Ghosts, VANN Music, Tig Linn, Ultan Conlan, I Have A Tribe, Cove, Band Of Clouds, Jennifer Evans, The Eskies, R.S.A.G., Last Days Of 1984, The Dead Heavys, Swords, The Dionnes and King Kong Company.
That’s not to mention those guys playing the Earthship Stage which will see John Daly[DJ], Outboxx live with Naomi Jeremy -Kelly Twins[DJ], Colm K[DJ], RudyTrixX, Laoise Nolan, Little Rivers, Lumigraph, Réalta, Shane Linehan[DJ], Nightflight[DJs], Donal Dineen, Mother DJs, Adultrock, Unknown, Lisa McLoughlin, Ana Gog, Torann Drummers, Myles Manley, Paddy Hanna, Sabrina Dinan, Budffalo Woman, Tig Linn, The Amazing Few, Strange Passion presents SM Corporation and Choice, Bunoscionn’s Tradside Of The Moon -Richie Kaboogie[live], Altered Hours and finally Unscene Music Collective Showcase.
New additions to Body & Soul’s village this year will see a stage curated by Block T, offering a platform for emerging theatre, performance art and sounds. There’s the Bog Cottage’s Seaweed Baths and Steamy Sauna. The Little Beat Retreat along with radioshack curated by Aidan Kelly.
The PEACE PAGODA will host a pop up performance programme by day and transform into a bean bag filled sanctuary of ambient electronica by night, curated by Donal Dineen. There’s so much more, you’ll just have to head down to Electric Picnic 2013.
